The design of a high density system has gradually been degraded to people feeding various data into a computer, a small picture comes out, not any kind of an engineering drawing, more along the line that a real designer would call a pretty picture. By far, most of these "designs" have very little to do with the customers actual needs. "But they can be done really fast."

"Fast" rarely produces exactly the best solutions to the customers needs.

At Jason Thorso Design we know that anything done before you have accurate field measurements of the room will have to be done again. The simple question being: Why not start by measuring the room? Of course that means spending some time going to the customers place of business. Most people offer to e-mail us a copy of the Architects drawing. The actual room dimensions rarely matches the Architects dimensions. In other words a mistake is being made the very minute the project is started. We have come to install dozens of systems and found they would not fit in the room. (but the dealer had saved a lot of time by not doing his homework) now we can spend a month trying to fix what we have.

Our motto is: "We solve the problems before they become problems." We take the time to visit the customer. We spend as much time as necessary to really understand the needs and requirements. We want to know exactly what will be stored. We need to know from where will the person come to retrieve the product and where do they go with the product. In some cases by placing the system, turning the system, deciding how many aisles are needed, we can save the customer as much as a mile of walking every day. In some cases we come up with the same amount of capacity, compared to our "Computerized" competitors, at a much lower cost.
We provide large 1/4" scale drawings with all our proposals. Our customers will always know exactly what to expect and what it will cost. We even have a 25 point written "Installation Procedure" document pointing out some of the problems we might have to deal with well in advance to insure that we don't end up with the very expensive process of improvising and do the best with what we have while the customer is waiting for the system to be completed.

Please give us a call and allow us to show you some "Real Design" not just some computer garbage generated by persons 1000 miles away, who might never have seen a properly designed storage system.
